Our mission is to provide high quality in-home care through a client-centered and service-oriented approach, one heart, one smile, one family at a time.
1Heart Caregiver Services is an in-home care agency that specializes in providing caregiving services to the elderly and other adults who require some assistance in meeting their healthcare needs.
We understand that caring for older adults and individuals with disabilities requires the presence of a caregiver who is not only experienced and trained but also trustworthy, honest and sensitive to the needs of her care recipient. Our caregivers are trained to work in conjunction with other professional service providers and to become first line reporters of changes in the client’s condition.
Our innovative team approach is designed to address the specific needs of our clients and their families. We explore possibilities instead of focusing on limitations. Our caregivers are carefully matched to ensure they are an appropriate fit for the individual whose care they are responsible for.
Our caregivers are employees who are bonded, insured, health cleared and background checked.
Yet, like most immigrants who came to this country, Belina felt that moving to the United States was the best decision she could make for her family even though this meant being away from her parents who were now approaching their golden years.
The guilt and sadness of being far away and not being able to take care of her mother was frustrating but finding a reliable caregiver gave her the peace of mind that her mom was taken care of by someone who really cared for her.
The realization that other people have to cope with the same unfortunate situation inspired Belina to provide families with the peace of mind that even in their absence, their loved one was in good hands. Shortly after her mom’s passing, she started 1Heart, a company that was founded on a commitment that no one has to feel the frustration of not being there for their aging parents.
Since its inception, the 1Heart family of caregivers continue to provide reliable, responsible and professional in home care to every person they care for. This is her way of giving back to mom the love and care that she wasn’t able to give in person because of the distance that separated them.

When you call 1Heart for in-home care services, you don’t just get matched with a caregiver. You work with a team of professional, experienced care professionals who will do their best to make sure that the highest standard of care is provided throughout the length of our services.
Our team is comprised of Staffing and Client Care Managers who will work closely with you starting with the initial Assessment, making the Plan of Care and carefully selecting the perfect caregivers to suit the needs, interests and preferences of your loved one.
We are constantly operating with professionalism, accountability, reliability, and carrying out processes efficiently with a sense of initiative and interdependence while delivering results with the highest standards possible.

Managing Director
Katrina is a passionate, persistent and highly motivated entrepreneur with over 30 years of work experience, valuable knowledge and skills in areas including finance, administration, marketing, business development, customer relations, project management, among others. She was Director of Administration and Finance for Switchmedia Inc., a production, audio-visual and live staging events company that she established in the Philippines with her husband back in 1991. She also took on the roles of Executive Producer and Over-all In-charge of Production for local, multinational and global clients including Pag-IBIG Fund, PGH Medical Foundation, Pilipinas Shell, NBC Universal, Animax Singapore, Coca-Cola, to name a few. She has a proven track record for meeting deadlines and working within budget which will be essential in leading operations and ensure the growth and long-term stability of 1Heart Caregiver Services – San Mateo. She is responsible for establishing objectives and overseeing the general performance of the business, making sure standards are met and results exceed company targets.
She is committed to uphold the company’s mission to provide high quality in-home care throughout San Mateo County and Palo Alto in Northern California, through a person-centered and service-oriented approach: 1Heart, 1Smile, 1Family at a time.
Katrina has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Management of Financial Institutions degree from De La Salle University in the Philippines.
Marketing Director
Vicente is a people person. Behind the fierce and firm, bearded look is a kind, gentle and compassionate heart. Vicente is a professional photographer and director for more than 30 years. To be able to deliver the proper message with the right creative treatment, he needs to prepare, inspire and motivate his subjects. His ability to interact and deal with different kinds of people – from business owners, top executives, managers, talents, office workers, production staff and crew, utility and everyone in between – makes it easier for him to present and convey his message to his target audience. He had the privilege of working in a wide variety of projects, handling a 2-person team up to a 300-person full production set-up. This made his journey exciting, wild as a roller coaster ride, but at the same time, very fulfilling.
Before putting up his production company in the Philippines, he worked in the family construction business building roads and bridges and also managed their fishpond, exporting Grouper to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Providing high quality in-home care to the Senior Community is a personal mission. This is one that is very close to his heart as he witnessed the dedication of amazing caregivers who took care of his parents. He wants to give back to the community by ensuring that seniors are well taken care of by responsible, reliable, compassionate, honest and trustworthy caregivers. This way, seniors are happy, living their lives to the fullest and their families have the peace of mind that their loved ones get the best care they can have.
