With over 19 years of experience leading high-performing teams in operations, planning, and project management across the Oil & Gas and IT industries, Nicolas Silva brings business and strategic expertise to 1Heart Caregiver Services Rockville. Holding a dual MBA from the U.S. and Colombia, he has consistently used his business background to drive efficiency and meaningful impact.
Born and raised in Colombia, Nicolas was deeply shaped by a culture where family lies at the heart of life and where honoring and learning from older generations is a deeply held value. These early influences instilled in him a profound respect for aging and a lifelong mission to serve others with compassion, dignity, and purpose. This calling became personal when he cared for his grandfather, a transformative experience that deepened his commitment to building teams devoted to caring for seniors as if they were their own loved ones.

Liza Builes
Client Care Manager
Liza has 18 years of experience designing and implementing successful programs for vulnerable populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Her goal is to transform lives through a holistic strategy that integrates physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Liza has a results-driven approach and strong attention to detail, enabling her to effectively respond to clients’ needs and deliver agreed-upon goals on time and with high-quality outcomes. She holds a Master of Science from the University of Manchester, earned as a Chevening Scholar, which laid a strong foundation for developing innovative methodologies across her roles, enhancing organizational performance and service quality.
Liza is a caregiver at heart, dedicated to serving others with empathy, kindness, and purpose.
Saundra Boyd
Registered Nurse
Saundra is a Registered Nurse with over 40 years of nursing experience across hospital settings, home care, case management, and private duty nursing. Her clinical background includes critical care, medical-surgical nursing management, clinical oversight, geriatrics, and chronic condition management, with extensive experience supporting elderly clients in their homes. She brings strong assessment skills, care coordination expertise, and a deep understanding of patient safety and quality standards in in-home care.
She has also held leadership roles as a Charge Nurse and Preceptor and is certified in BCLS and ACLS, reflecting her long-standing commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
As the Registered Nurse for 1HEART Caregiver Services Rockville, Saundra provides care oversight, client assessments, and clinical guidance to ensure high-quality, compassionate in-home care for every client. Known for her joyful personality, caring nature, and always being willing to help, she fosters a supportive and positive environment for both clients and caregivers.
