The awarding ceremony entitled “TOP in LA (The Outstanding Pilipinos in LA)” honors a select group of individuals who possess integrity and excellence in the field of arts, business, entertainment, fashion and beauty. The recipients of this award are well-respected persons who can promote, influence, and mobilize public interest in the support of the ideals, values, and principles for the advancement of Filipino culture in the community.

This Leadership Award is given to extraordinary Filipino Americans, who, for the past 5 years or more, have demonstrated exceptional drive and dedication towards career success and excellence, made a significant impact in their industry, and shown exemplary leadership and commitment to the advancement of Filipino American culture in the community.

Present during the event was Kevin Tagarao (VP for Operations) and the 1Heart Caregiver Services team. “This is a well deserved award for Belina. She has created a culture that is centered around providing reliable, compassionate care to many seniors. Many Filipinos already possess that innate caring nature that is vital in the healthcare industry. She is doing a great job in showcasing how the Filipino community is capable of producing outstanding caregivers.” says Kevin.

This is her 2nd time to receive an award in honor of her beneficial work to the Filipino Community, as she was very happy to garner such recognition.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition” says Belina. “I am truly blessed to have people around me who share similar ideals and goals which is probably why the company has continued to grow and prosper. From a two person office in Encino, 14 years ago to a company that now provides jobs to almost a hundred employees, I am proud of the growth we have achieved. I know my staff has individual strengths and we strive to build on their strengths while developing their other potential abilities. This is what I believe and what the company believes as well. And this is probably the reason why we remain a strong team.”
